Spring fashion is in full bloom so it’s time to get on board with some of the new trends. Over the next few weeks I’ll let you know what those trends are and do the shopping for you. Keeping up with the latest fashions creates a more youthful appearance. It keeps us looking modern and not like we’re trapped in a previous era. You’ll feel good too. Fashion is fun and when you know you look cute you feel better about yourself. So, let’s get started with pastels. I’ve chosen a variety of pieces in varying prices (although all are under $100 – some way under). If you’ve always wanted to wear color but were afraid, pastels are a good way to ease into it. And if a colored top or pants are too much for you then just try a pastel accessory like a bag or a scarf. You’ll still be rocking the trend and look like you’re in-the-know.
Get all the details on these pieces after the jump.
Lace-Trimmed Blouse ($79/J. Jill): Pair this top with a pair of skinny jeans and some cute flats or wedges. Try white jeans for a super summery look.
Green Snakeskin Print Nylon Wristlet (now $10, reg. $20)
Green Pleated Gauze Skirt ($30/Old Navy): Try this with a white tee and some camel-colored sandals.
Green Lauren by Ralph Lauren Alexa Sandals (now $48, reg. $60/Zappos)
Belted Eyelet Peplum Dress ($30/Forever 21)
Skinny Ankle Jeans in Tangerine ($44/Nordstrom)
Peach Split Sleeve Top ($50/Dorothy Perkins): Most of us have way too many solid colored clothes. Don’t be afraid to add a few patterned pieces.
Women’s Printed Infinity Scarf (now $10, reg $17/Old Navy)
Flower Garden Dress ($35/Pitaya): To keep this dress looking young, pair it with a skinny belt in a brown or camel color and shoes in a similar shade.
Blue and White Searsucker Rocket Dog Shell Shoes (now $45, reg. $50/Zappos)
Pink Franco Sarto Whip Shoes ($49/Zappos)
Splendid Racerback Tie-Dye Tank ($68/Nordstrom)
Striped A-Line Tank ($11/Forever 21)
Teal Converse Chuck Taylor Sneaker ($45/Nordstrom)
Textured Lemon Drop Blazer ($40/Charlotte Russe): You know those women who always look polished, even in jeans? Well, adding a blazer to your outfit will make you one of those women. Nothing says classic like a blazer. Try it with a tee and some flats for a casual look or over a silky top for something dressier.
