Mixing neutrals. Yes, you can! Many people shy away from mixing neutrals like grey, black and brown because they feel they either don’t work together or are boring. However, neither is true. As you can see from the above photo, they actually complement each other well. Mom-to-be Jenna Dewan-Tatum sports the perfect mixed-neutrals outfit for running errands or picking the kids up at school. This simple look is built upon basics that will outlast the season and can be worn again and again.
This ensemble is great for moms – allowing for bending over, getting in and out of the car, and hoisting children without the “girls” or the booty hanging out. Not to mention, the look can be recreated with inexpensive items, some of which may already be in your closet.
Here are the details on our version:
- Striped t-shirt ($16/JC Penney): If you are large-chested, a tee with very narrow stripes will keep you from looking even bigger on top. Here’s another option with a little color, on sale for $12, at Kohl’s.
- Skinny jeans (sale $54.90, reg. $78/Levi’s): A mid-range blue wash works very well with this look. Try the jeans already in your closet, or these Levi’s in the Glory Blues wash. Save an extra 25% off at checkout (code EXTRA25).
- Knee-high brown boots ($42.50 plus $25 dollar discount in online cart/Charlotte Russe): The flat style of this boot makes it perfect for day-long wear. For another option, try these boots from Macy’s, on sale for $51.75 plus extra 10% off (code SAVE), reg. $69.
- Long cardigan sweater ($42 + free shipping/Zappos): We like this cardigan in Charcoal Heather by Volcom. Here are two more options, ruffled option or modern option.
-
Accessories ($4.80-$6.80/Forever 21): Chunky chain necklace, sunglasses, and a couple simple bracelets. Shop Forever 21 for inexpensive jewelry. Necklace- $6.80, bracelet- $4.80, and sunglasses- $5.80, style 1 or style 2.

I was browsing Pinterest and came across a pin of an outfit that is basically a variation on this same look. It is another cute example that moms could totally pull off. I love looks taht are based upon basics found in most closets! http://pinterest.com/pin/225461525067040204/
