Since the introduction of the “boyfriend” jeans and cardigan, the menswear for women field has been pretty stale. With all the women lounging around in their boyfriend’s (or husband’s) actual clothes, you wonder what took so long.
The glory of menswear for women is that it is so chic. Whether dressed up or down, blazers, button downs, trousers, ties, and elbow patches, traditionally domain of men, look put-together. Wear this trend to the office, running errands, on play-dates, a night out with the girls, lunch, or chaperoning a field trip. Layer a blazer and a v-neck sweater over a button down shirt and trousers for work, then switch into jeans and loafers for the rest of the evening. This “menswear” is fit to wear out of the house- finally!
