In my world, there’s nothing much better than gift-giving. I happily shop all year long to find just the right thing for each person on my list, always making an effort to get something they want but won’t spend the money on (i.e. a splurge item or unnecessary/just for fun item). That’s why the ideas below will bring both the giver and the receiver joy – they’re cost-effective for you but extra special to a mom who rarely spends a cent on herself.

Organic Soap Gift Set ($36/Amazon – free shipping!): These organic soaps are just what mom needs to feel pampered each and every morning. (And yes, they are more than $30 but shipping is free so we figured it would all even out.)

What Happy People Know: How the New Science of Happiness Can Change Your Life for the Better ($12.48/Amazon): This book changed my life. In fact, I will be writing about it in an upcoming Editor’s Note post. It reversed my outlook on life and helped to make me happier than I even knew I could be.

Butter London Nail Lacquer ($15/Amazon or Nordstrom – free shipping both ways!):  A mom would rarely spend $15 on nail polish but why not help her indulge a bit with one or two bottles in any of Butter’s luscious colors. Most of their shades are “three free” which means they don’t contain the top three toxic chemicals used in most polishes. Want to help make her manicure last? Find out how here.

Clipa Purse/Bag Hanger ($22.50/Amazon): I am in love with my Clipa. It not only has a sleek, simple design but it is the strongest purse holder I have ever had. Even better, it opens wide enough to accommodate almost any table thickness. They come in a variety of colors and styles so you can pick just the right one to match your BFF’s personality.

Fresh Sugar Plum Tinted Lip Treatment ($22.50/Amazon or Nordstrom – free shipping both ways!): I am also in love with my Fresh Lip Treatment, the smoothest, creamiest lip balm your pout will ever have the pleasure of wearing. It comes in several tints that provide the perfect hint of color for everyday wear. Although the price is high for what it is, you won’t be wasting your money. Not only is it long-lasting but your bestie will feel pampered every time she uses it. Plus, she can kiss those baby cheeks to her heart’s content because it doesn’t have any pesky chemicals in it – no parabens, sulfates, synthetic dyes, petrochemicals, phthalates, GMOs or triclosan. Hurray!

Lifestyle Awareness Teas ($6-$10/Amazon): These organic teas have gotten some pretty great reviews. With varieties that can help with stress, sleep, and immunity, they’re perfect for a busy mom.

Pearhead Canvas Handprint Wall Art Set ($17.99/Amazon): How cute is this? And it isn’t just for little ones. Kids of any age can take part in creating personalized artwork the whole family will treasure for a lifetime. Also available in blue.

Conscious Box Healthy Product Box Three- Month Subscription ($26/Amazon): The bestie who is health-conscious will look forward to her package of products each month. It’s like making the holiday last well into the new year.
