TMS Replay: How To Wear Full Skirts

Now that The Mommy Stylist has been around for several years, we decided to occasionally re-post some of our earlier blogs as TMS Replays so that new readers can benefit from them as well. (And they can serve as reminders for those who have been with us from the beginning.) Even though the post below is from a year ago, everything still applies; full skirts are currently more popular than ever. Enjoy!

As you may have seen in my recent post, “Mom’s Spring Shopping List” full skirts are a big trend for the spring and summer (and will most likely trickle into fall as well). And what a blessing as they cover the pooch, the butt and the thighs! Heaven sent, right?

But, as a mom, how can you wear them so they are functional and don’t look like you’re trying too hard? Well, we’ve scoured the magazines and internet to bring you a Pinterest album full of ideas. (And we’ll continue to add more as we find them so check back regularly.)

As you’ll see, one of the best things about the full skirt trend right now is that all lengths, from minis to maxis, are a go. As long as your skirt isn’t too short, you’ll be able to make all your mom moves quickly and easily. Bend, twist, sit and chase little ones without fear of showing too much or taking a fall. Full skirts are super-versatilie too; they can all be worn in a casual setting or a dressier one. Just a quick change of shoes from flats to heels and you’re ready for a night out or a party.

So, let’s get started! Click here for some mom-worthy outfit ideas featuring full skirts.
