I was talking to a friend recently (who has a toddler) and she mentioned some fantastic jeans she found that are perfect for moms. I asked her to write up a little blurb about them so I could share it with all of you. See what she has to say below. And if you’ve discovered a piece of clothing or accessory that you’d like to share email me (email address on the right-hand side of this page) and tell me why it is good for moms. I may just use it in another “Mom to Mom” post.
Thanks to Sara Rhine for sharing her great find:
“I love these jeans. They are the Ann Taylor Loft Modern Skinny Jean in Black. They are made of 1% spandex so there’s a bit of stretch that I think makes them oh-so-comfortable. Yes, I just called a pair of jeans comfortable. I can bend in them without my rear hanging out, and I can crawl on the floor with my 15-month-old and not have to adjust them over my tummy pooch. The material is thicker than other jeans I’ve tried which I think helps to hold me in and disguise my least favorite areas.
They also look great dressed up or down, with flats, heels or boots, AND it’s the first pair of “skinny” jeans that I’ve ever worn….ever! I’m 5’9″, curvy, and I carry my weight in my hips and thighs so I thought skinny was not an option. I only tried them on at the insistence of two girlfriends and I’m so glad I did. I had to go up a size, but I don’t mind at all. I wear these jeans all the time! They carry them in a few different colors and I’m fully prepared to buy them in the other two colors as well. Plus, Ann Taylor Loft has reasonably priced denim at $59.50. I have tried on everything in every price range and to be honest, I can’t really stomach $150 jeans. That’s ridiculous. LOFT, as I affectionately call it, always has sales too. They do a lot of buy one get one 50% off on their denim, so it becomes an even better deal.
As a mom on the go, I love these jeans for the price, the fit, the comfort, and the style. I can feel good in them and crawl around with my busy toddler all while still feeling like I look like me. It’s a no-brainer.”
