Congratulations to Melissa Foster from Houston, Texas for a winning our Jamberry Nails Giveaway! She is a stay-at-home mom with one daughter, 13 months old. We asked Melissa a few questions to learn a bit more about her fashion choices and her mom lifestyle.

The Mommy Stylist: What activities does an everyday outfit have to function for?

Melissa: Playing, going to the gym and running errands. I am also involved in several groups, so I sometimes have grown up meetings to attend, too, which can throw me for a loop. If I go somewhere at night, I usually have to change.

TMS: What clothing stores do you purchase from most often (online or in person)?

Melissa: The Gap, Old Navy, Target.

TMS: What is your biggest fashion problem?

Melissa: After having my daughter, I am still trying to figure out what looks best on my new body, but is still comfortable and allows for wrangling a toddler!

TMS: What can’t you leave the house without?

Melissa: Sunglasses, water bottle, iPhone

TMS: What is your favorite article of clothing in your closet right now?

Melissa: A short sleeved navy sweater. It makes plain t-shirts look a lot better, but isn’t too hot for Texas in the springtime.

TMS: Are there any current trends that you love/hate?

Melissa: I don’t like skinny jeans… I cannot wear them well, and am so ready for them to be gone!

TMS: What do you like most about The Mommy Stylist?

Melissa: I love the real moms that aren’t all fashionistas. I also like that the items aren’t super expensive. I am in the stage where most of my clothes get goobers on them, so anything too expensive is unrealistic for me at this point.

TMS: Is there anything else you’d like to tell us about yourself?

Melissa: Prior to having a baby, I always had my nails done or kept up with them myself and it was really easy to maintain. But now I’ve found that it is something I have had to let go of. I’m really looking forward to trying my Jamberry Nails!
