As moms, casual everyday outfits are our bread and butter. Looking put-together doesn’t require Prada; it requires skillful dressing and make-uping in five minutes flat while tying little shoes and throwing Cheerios on the table. In other words, easy to slip-on, coordinated clothing is a godsend. Oh, and life-friendly colors, cuts and materials matter more than showering (there’s always dry-shampoo for that).
With two little girls running around, I’m a mom just like you. Over the years, I’ve shared some of my top-secret personal tips for looking stylish on a mom’s busy schedule and nearly nonexistent me-time . The following pictures are not Vogue-quality. They are, however, realistic and affordable – no $900 price tags here. In fact, all are under $100, allowing for some creative math. (If an item has been in use 5+ years and qualifies, by my personal rules, as splurge-worthy, it no longer adds into the cost of today’s outfits). You may even be able to recreate some of them with pieces already in your dresser. After all, they came out of mine.
