Attending a casual holiday party hosted in someone’s home? Often, these events don’t call for couture, a plus for moms. However, to create a festive atmosphere, plain jeans and a t-shirt won’t cut it either. So, what should you wear? One option is to dress down the flattering jumpsuit you wore to your company holiday party – try adding a jean or leather jacket, with contrasting belt and flats or sneaks. Or, peruse some of the outfit ideas below for more inspiration.
Sparkle
Sequins, beads, glitter and studs are all festive additions to an otherwise plain outfit. These items may seem like a splurge. Afterall, how many opportunities does one have to wear sequins? Think outside the box. Sparkley attire is appropriate for occaisions such as a night on the town with girlfriends; date night; the opera; and fancy dinner parties.

Holiday Cheer
Whether it’s red, green or reindeer, an easy way to take skinny jeans or leggings from every day to holiday is adding a dash of seasonal motifs. Although a red reindeer or poinsetta sweater is adorable during the yuletide season, it may have limited versatility outside that arena. However, a red jacket or sweater like the ones below will last throughout multiple fall and winter seasons and the green skirt below can be worn into warmer weather.

Cozy + Bling
It may not scream Christmas party, but it’s definitely seasonally chic. Pull out some cozy knits and faux furs; pair them with stylish pants and statement jewelry. More good news? These outfits can be worn time and again throughout cold weather months.
